VIDEO: St. Paddy’s O’Beach Party in Ocean Beach, San Diego Brings a Fun Crowd for Two-Day Event!

On Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th, swarms of party people decked out in green came together in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day at the annual St. Paddy’s O’Beach Party in Ocean Beach. Hosted in support of The Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association and The Peninsula Alliance, the event ran all day long and featured a beer garden, live music, dozens of local food vendors, fun events such as a “Guac Off” guacamole tasting, beach 5K Fun Run, and fun games including leprechaun limbo, and more!

Proceeds from the annual event benefit The Ocean Beach Main Street Association, the management organization for the O.B. Business Improvement District and the Newport Avenue Landscape Maintenance District. A nonprofit organization, their mission is to promote and support local business and economic vitality in the Ocean Beach community.  They have many programs and events, including The Storefront Improvement Program (SIP) aimed at revitalizing building facades visible to customers, neighboring merchants and residents. Later this year, they’ll begin a sidewalking cleaning initiative.

Take a look at some of the fun below, and be sure to mark your calendar (and set aside your green clothes) for next year!
